The concert series at the Alton Riverfront Amphitheater saw a disappointing 600 or so fans show up to last Friday night's Sawyer Brown show, and one city official thinks it may be wise to refocus their marketing efforts.  Much of the effort in the past has been to try and get the St. Louis fan to cross the river into Illinois.

Now, it appears the effort may be in getting people in from the smaller towns around here.

Alton Park & Recreation Department Deputy Director Rhonda Lewis says there are more "Five-Dollar Friday" concerts on the way, including tributes to Jimmy Buffett, The Rolling Stones and Led Zepplin.  A couple of bigger shows are also possible later this summer, but the contracts have not yet been finalized.
