The Madison County Health Department is ready, but is not consumed by the news of a possible Ebola outbreak in the United States. While the illness has taken many lives in parts of West Africa, there is no Ebola outbreak in this country and officials say citizens should try to keep it all in perspective.

Yeager says the flu will impact more people this season than Ebola, so it’s best to get your flu shot and follow the clean, cover and contain guidelines to avoid spreading it at work or school over the coming months.
