Is the government watching you? Some people believe that’s a valid question, now that the National Security Agency has been exposed for recording phone records of citizens. U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) says this is the result of a bad system.
“When you just get a huge amount of data on everyone, those that you should focus on fall through the cracks,” Davis said.

Though some have called the leaker a hero and have bashed the Democratic administration, Davis says this is not a partisan issue, and people shouldn’t lose sight of what is important.
“The fact of the matter is we need to be assured that those who are innocent aren’t automatically having their information given out to any security agency. We need to focus our efforts on those who are trying to hurt America,” Davis said.
As evidence of the extent to which the issue is not partisan, U.S. Rep Aaron Schock (R-Peoria) says the leaker is guilty of treason.
