Biden was in the Riverbend to stump at a fundraiser for U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and other Democrats but some believe the appearance will also boost the popularity of another Congressional candidate. Former Madison County Chief Judge Ann Callis won the Democratic Primary in March and will challenge incumbent Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) for his seat in the 13th Congressional District this fall.

Davis says the rumor doesn't come as a surprise to him.
