Pope Francis will visit the United States next month and a local congressman is offering tickets to a viewing event. Republican Rodney Davis’ office has announced they have been given 50 tickets for the public for the West Front viewing at the U.S. Capitol on September 24 and they will distribute the passes by lottery.
The Pope will address a joint session of Congress on that day, and the public can watch a simulcast from the West Front. The leader of the Catholic Church will then make an appearance at the West Front following the speech. Anyone interested in tickets should register with Davis’ office at www.rodneydavis.house.gov
All guests will be responsible for their own travel expenses associated with their visit to Washington D.C.
