A local Republican Congressman says the Affordable Care Act has some positive points but there are changes that need to be made.   Rodney Davis of Taylorville says while he supports some parts of the plan, some other issues are in need of a rework.

Davis introduced a bill that is now in the senate earlier this year that would give employers credit for hiring veterans who would not be counted in their overall employee numbers for healthcare if the veteran receives federal health benefits.

He supports allowing those age 26 and younger to remain on their parents health insurance, he supports making sure preexisting conditions are covered and making sure there are no lifetime caps on insurance coverage.
