The dating website Ashley Madison was recently the victim of a massive data breach, and the names of many of its clients were compromised.  This provided a fresh pool of potential victims for scammers, playing on fears they could be identified.  The Better Business Bureau is offering tips for anyone who feels they may have had their identities compromised as part of this or any other data breach.

In other cases, he said fraudsters had tried to extort money from Ashley Madison clients, seeking to exploit their embarrassment at being registered with a site that helps married people arrange extramarital affairs.  For more tips, follow the link:
