The Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble is 42 years old, and has entertained audiences nationwide. The troupe will be in Godfrey at Lewis and Clark Community College today, with an afternoon performance for school kids to be followed by a performance that is free and open to the public tonight. Tonight's performance will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Hathaway Cultural Center.
Troupe leader Keith Saunders says they will be performing portions of 5 different ballets.
The institution currently comprises the Dance Theatre of Harlem School, a leading arts education center; Dancing Through Barriers, a national education and community outreach program, and the Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, a national touring company.
