An event to help the Hope Rescues Animal Shelter to raise money for homeless pets is coming up April 12.  A chicken and beer dance will feature the music of Straight Jacket, which boasts a variety of musical genres as part of their set list.

Dawn Emhausen, who volunteers with hope Rescues, says the dance will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 4th Street in Alton from 6-10pm.

Tickets are $15, and can be purchased at the door, or in advance through the Hope Rescues website.  Hope Rescues is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter based in Alton, that rescues pets from both abusive homes and shelters that would euthanize these pets if they were not adopted.
