The Alton Regional Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is publishing a new visitor’s guide. While most of the guides are focused on the various seasons’ offerings, this new one will feature the various restaurants sprinkled around the Riverbend.

The guide should be distributed in a week or so, according to Cambron. According to recent statistics, if we did not have tourism as a market segment in Illinois, every taxpayer would owe about $1,100 more annually to make up the difference.
