Tom Cross says he's enjoying life outside of politics.
The Republican from Oswego, who served several years as House Minority Leader, is dividing his time between his Joliet law firm, a Chicago public relations company, and Aurora University's STEM program for third- through eighth-graders.
That last one seems closest to his heart.

The STEM school, he says, “is a brilliant concept. It's not a gifted programl the believe is (that) You have toget focused on math and sceience on a regular basis.
“Compared to the rest of the world, we're not doing very well in math or science.
He says while the loss in the 2014 treasurer's race was a close one, he does not want to dwell on it, nor does he wish to speculate about a possible return to politics.
