This is now the wettest June on record in Illinois.  June has climbed up the rankings thanks to all the rain lately, according to State Climatologist Jim Angel.  He says with more rain in the forecast, he expects this to be a tough record to beat in the coming years.  The statewide average temperature so far this month has been less than a degree above normal.

The previous record was set in 1902. Records have been kept as far back as 1895.
