The Missouri Highway Patrol has identified an East Alton woman as the victim in a crash in Crawford County last weekend.   21-year-old Taylor N. Pile died of her injuries on Wednesday, and the driver of the vehicle is facing involuntary manslaughter charges and alleged DUI.  Pile and another male were passengers in the vehicle. 

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the car was driven by 28-year-old Robert Siempelkamp of Palmer, Illinois.  The car crashed off the right side of the roadway, hit a sign and a tree before stopping in a ditch on Highway H inside Onondaga Cave State Park last Saturday night.  Pile was not wearing a seatbelt and was critically injured.  She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer where she died yesterday of her injuries. Siempelkamp, and another male in the car 27-year-old Brandon McConnell of Taylorville suffered minor injuries.  They were both wearing seatbelts.
