A special prosecutor will look into an alleged incident between a Grafton alderman and a police officer. A request of the Jersey County State’s Attorney to have another office investigate the case in which Flo Rowling allegedly pushed Grafton Police Officer Peggy O’Neil has been approved, although a prosecutor has not yet been named.
The alleged incident happened on December 27 - about the time police were getting involved in the search for a missing woman - while the two were at city hall. O’Neil was not in uniform at the time of the incident. According to a court document, the alleged incident is that of Aggravated Battery, which is a Class 3 felony.
