Madison County is updating its hazard mitigation plan, and is getting stakeholders together later this week to discuss areas that should be addressed. The Madison County Natural Hazards Mitigation Planning Committee meeting will be held on January 16 at the Madison County Emergency Management Office in Wood River. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. and is open to the public.
Mary Kate Malone, Deputy Director of the Madison County Emergency Management Agency, says the purpose of the meeting is to examine the various vulnerabilities around the county.
