Madison County is looking for more land to be cleaned up and redeveloped.  The county received $400,000 from the U.S. EPA last year for the purpose of identifying historically contaminated properties, also known as brownfields.

Madison County Community Development serves as the lead agency on the EPA brownfield grant, and has retained a qualified environmental consultant to assist in managing and performing the activities funded by the grant.
