A number of municipalities in the Riverbend will get some financial backing from the county as they proceed with supplemental projects. Dettmers says the Village of East Alton will use their grant money to purchase a brush chipper and that the Edwardsville Township Park District will use their share of the money to continue a solar project at Edwardsville Township Park. She adds that any township or park district in Madison County can apply for these funds on a yearly basis and recommends calling 618-296-4666 for more information.
