Madison County Community Development has awarded a handful of scholarships to area students.  The $1500 scholarships are funded through the Community Services Block Grant program, and helps low-income residents finance higher education.

Dunstan says these scholarships have been helping students for more than 20 years.  Students receiving the scholarships will be attending Lewis & Clark Community College, SIUE, and Southwestern Illinois College.
