Work on the Corridor 67 project is complete to Delhi, but the next phase could be a few years off as funding is needed to resume construction. Illinois 255 to the new Route 67 has knocked several minutes off of the commute between Godfrey and Jersey county, and vice-versa but officials aren’t sure when the next phases of the project will begin.
Corridor 67 Inc. Executive Director Don Miller says the Jerseyville bypass remains a part of IDOT’s multi-year plan.

Eventually, Illinois Route 67 will be expanded from the mostly 2-lane highway to 4-lanes from Godfrey to Rock Island the project is at a standstill until more funding can be found.
