If you are a car lover of any kind then you will not want to miss an event being held at the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower on Saturday August 29th. Dubbed Cool Nights Hot Cars, the event will be the first evening car show that has been held at the tower. The show will run from 4pm to 7pm. Marketing and Sales Coordinator for the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau Stephanie Tate tells The Big Z there will be more than just cars at the event.

Any car qualifies for the show, whether it's new, old or somewhere in between. The first 50 cars registered will recieve a commemorative souvenir and a free tour of the tower. Admission to the show is free. The Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower is open 7 day a week. Hours are Mondays through Saturdays 9:30am to 5:00pm. and Sundays Noon to 5:00pm. Tours are $4 for adults, $3 for adults over 62, veterans, and active military, $2 for children and children under two are free.
