The man convicted of first-degree murder in the drive by shooting that killed a 12-year old boy has been sentenced to 80 years in prison. Madison County State's Attorney Tom Gibbons announced yesterday that 31-year old Marcus T. "Butterhead" Powell will serve 40-years in prison on the charge of murder and an additional 25-years of incarceration for using a gun in the crime. Powell will also serve atleast 85% of 15-year sentence for aggravated discharge of a firearm.

In addition to this sentence, Powell will concurrently serve a 35-years in federal prison for dealing cocaine.
