One of the new outbuildings at Godfrey's Monticello Plaza is almost complete, with another coming together as well. Midwest Asset Group bought the aging strip mall across the street from Lewis & Clark Community College in September of 2011. The owners have been making more visible upgrades recently, and a pair of businesses are getting ready to move in.
Godfrey Building and Zoning Administrator Laura Dixon says a Pizza World franchise is said to be one of the businesses expected to open soon, and a Verizon store will also be one of the first new tenants.
The owners of the plaza are being tight-lipped about what other stores may be looking at the sight, but a freshening up of the entrances to the center and lighting upgrades are all in the works.
