The Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower will be the site of a Nature Photography Day Celebration on Saturday afternoon. The event will give guests the opportunity to get free outdoor photography tips from local photographer Deej Gausling during two workshops. The first workshop is at noon with the second one starting around 1pm.

Each will last a half hour and give visitors a chance to walk on the levee. Once both workshops have ended, there will be an option to purchase a ticket and go with the photographer to the top of the tower, where more photos may be taken.

There is also a social media element involved with Saturday's celebration. A Facebook nature photo contest will last until 3pm, with the winner taking home a color changing water bottle and two free tour tickets.

Tower Manager Amy Curry says that they have to utilize social media because it might be the only way some people find out about the tower.
