From the vantage point of the tower, you can see the convergence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers in Hartford. From what began as a grassroots citizens group looking to commemorate the bicentennial celebration of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, now stands a structure that honors the general area from where men set out west to discover the nation's lands centuries ago.
