A benefit concert is being added to the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater schedule. The Little River Band will be on stage Friday, September 26 raising money for the Survivor’s Scholarship Fund. That is a fund, according to concert promoters, that benefits families affected by suicide.
Alton Regional Convention and Visitor’s Bureau President Brett Stawar broke the news Wednesday morning on The Big Z:

Pricing is still being worked out. Stawar says the concert was originally going to be held in St. Charles, but the promoters wanted to change the venue. A showtime has not yet been set.
Still to come this year at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater is Kenny Rogers on September 6, River Jam 2014 featuring Elvin Bishop on September 13, and the Mississippi Earthtones Festival on September 20.
