A little over a week ago, the Alton Symphony Orchestra put out a call for donations, as the funds were tight enough an interrupted season was a growing possibility. Once the word got out, enough donations came in to save the season, and to start planning ahead for next year, according to ASO Board President Jerre Honke.

Honke comments

Honke was a guest on Let's Talk last week, and the donations began flowing in to the symphony later that week.  She says the board has voted to lower prices to $10 for an adult ticket and $5 for seniors beginning next season.
