Lewis and Clark Community College will rename the former St. Patrick’s School in Alton after a man who played a pivotal role in the history of education in Alton. Scott Bibb fought the segregation of Alton Schools from 1897-1908. He won all five cases that made it to the Illinois Supreme Court.
College President, Dr. Dale Chapman, tells The Big Z the Illinois Supreme Court wants to shine a light on some of the pivotal cases throughout its history.
