Winter doesn’t officially begin until next month, but the Riverbend region will get it’s first taste of season this week. An artic cold front will sweep through the middle of the nation this week and is expected to bring freezing temperatures to the area by Tuesday. By midweek, high temperatures are expected to top out in the 30s. The good news, though, according to the National Weather Service, is that there is little chance of any frozen precipitation during this cold snap.
