It’s been fifteen years since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people died that day. The New York City Fire Department lost more than 340 men and women, while their police counterparts lost 23 officers. A group of local high school students will be remembering those that were lost with a special ceremony in Bethalto.
Angela Parish, Physical Education Teacher at Civic Memorial High School, tells The Big Z the keynote speaker will be Retired Colonel Ellen K. Haddock, who was working at the Pentagon on 9/11.
