Access to clean water continues to be a major issue facing third world countries. With that in mind, members of the Clean Water Project based in the Riverbend are holding their second annual 5K Run and Water Walk this Saturday, March 28th.
Dani Wilson is part of the Clean Water Project team and is also a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
She tells The Big Z this isn’t going to be your typical 5K.

The walk starts at 11 a.m. at the church while the 5K run will kick off 9 a.m. at Methodist Village in Godfrey. Wilson says you can participate in the walk for free or register for the 5K run for $25. The group will also be selling t-shirts with all profits from the event helping to fund the purchase and shipment of supplies for the groups’ upcoming trip to Liberia.
