Millions of twinkling lights are ready to go at Alton's Rock Spring Park. Starting tonight, you can drive thru the Christmas Wonderland at the park to see the light displays as well as take the kids to visit Santa, and there's even a petting zoo. This year the display at Rock Spring Park will be as big as ever, according to Bob Osburn, head of the Grandpa Gang.
He says there is a new Gingerbread Village by the Santa House, which itself got a makeover. As for the buildings that were damaged by vandals last month, he says they are ready to go too.
The annual walk-thru night will be held on Monday, for just a dollar admission per person. No vehicles will be allowed that night. The Christmas Wonderland display hours are 6-9 p.m. on weekdays, and 5-9 p.m. on the weekends. The cost to see the display is still $7 for cars and small vans, and $1 per person for vehicles with 10 or more passengers.
