The annual Salvation Army’s Children’s Day broadcast on The Big Z was a success with $2,505 pledged by listeners to the Red Kettle Campaign. Alton Salvation Army leaders and advisory board members joined the show to encourage support for the cause this year.
Alton Mayor Brant Walker is the honorary chairperson of this year’s campaign and made a promise if the Red Kettle goal was met:
