The search for a Missouri boy taken from a St. Louis hospital while waiting for a heart transplant is over after he was found with two relatives in Alsip, Illinois. Five-year-old Porter Stone was found by state and local authorities in the custody of his father and paternal grandmother. St. Louis police confirm that both adults have been taken into custody.
Investigators say the boy's parents were involved in a custody but could provide no details as to why the father came to the Chicago area. The child was taken from St. Louis Children's Hospital as he was being discharged so he could return to the Kansas City area where he lives and be monitored by doctors closer to his home while he awaits a transplant.
