The Boys & Girls Club of Alton is gearing up for this week's charity golf tournament. It's being held Friday at the Rolling Hills Golf Course and the entry list is almost full, so organizers say if you want to get a team in the tournament, this is your last chance.
Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Al Womack says the 4-person scramble is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.
There will be three flights, and the winner of each fight is then qualified to win the $1,500 shootout. The shotgun starts at 1pm, and the $400 per team entry fee includes golf with cart, refreshments, a catered lunch, and various other gifts. For more information, call 462-6249.
