Space for the Alton Boys & Girls Club golf tournament is filling up fast. Two weeks from today, teams will compete in the fundraiser for the organization Club at the Rolling Hills Golf Course, beginning with the shotgun start at 1pm. The tournament is open to golfers of all skill levels. Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Al Womack says the 4-person scramble format will take off in three flights, and the winner of each fight is then qualified to win $1,500 in a shootout.
He says this is their biggest fundraiser of the year.
The shotgun starts at 1pm, and the $400 per team entry fee includes golf with cart, refreshments, a catered lunch, and various other gifts. April 27 is the deadline to enter the May 4 tournament. For more information, call 462-6249.
