Charges have been filed against five people in the alleged meth house bust in Alton last Wednesday. Charged with Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing are 27-year-old Ashley L. Waddle and 25-year-old Pamela A. Coolbaugh of East Alton, 31-year-old Stephanie Bull and 34-year-old Ronald W. LaPointe of Alton, and 41-year-old Leonard J. Mascari of Cottage Hills. All but Mascari are in custody.
The charge is a Class X felony, and with the enhancement, the punishment could result in 15-60 years in prison for each if convicted. The charges allege all five participated in the manufacture of more than 400 but less than 900 grams of meth knowing there was a child in the house. Authorities were responding to a 911 call in the 2600 block of Yager about an domestic dispute, but reportedly found materials similar to those used in the production of the drug. Bond for each was set at $100,000.
