Lawmakers are already trying to make changes to the state’s new concealed carry law.  Several bills are in the works that would strengthen penalties for people who carry guns near schools but State rep Adam Brown says that could lead to a fight in Springfield.

Brown wants to let the concealed carry law go into effect and actually have people carrying guns, before discussing any changes.  But that’s not stopping lawmakers from making suggestions.  Some want to add places of worship to the list of restricted places, others want to incorporate jail time for gun instructors who don’t follow the required training standards.  All of these options could come up for debate in the next couple months.
