Bill Cunningham (D-Chicago) says a piece of the revenue from a casino in Chicago should go to the city’s police and fire pension funds. “I think we need to start this discussion,” says Cunningham. “I think when you’re looking at the potential for a tremendous hole in the city budget and a tremendous burden on the taxpayers that’ll be coming with the city’s pension ramp-up, that it would really be unwise to pass up on any potential casino revenue.”
