The 19th annual All-Wheels Drive-In Car Show hits the streets of downtown Alton on Sunday.   The event features classic vehicles from all over the region, and admission is free.  Vehicle registration is 8am to Noon, with trophies handed out at 4pm.

The event typically attracts 150-200 classic cars, hot rod and motorcycles along West Third, State and Belle Streets.  Organizer Jamey Griffin of Time Machines Unlimited has been there every year and says downtown is probably is favorite location for the show:

This year’s theme is “Superheroes” and there will a special appearance by the Gotham Cruiser from Noon to 3pm.  The Smokin’ Oldies Band will play classics from the 50’s and 60’s from 2-4pm.  For more details go to
