We're getting a break from the stifling heat of a week or so ago, and car care experts say that is giving your vehicle a break as well.  Extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold, can test the mettle of any car, so you are being advised to not let maintenance be an afterthought. 

Chuck Tucker, General Manager at Andy's Tire and Auto Center, tells The Big Z there are a variety of things that can be affected by the heat of summer.

He says you should also consider a cooling system exchange, which involves rinsing out the system, checking the radiator cap, and making sure you are using the proper coolant.
