The Sierra Club has been teaming up with several other organizations to restore and renovate aging cabins in the Camp Ouatoga area of Pere Marquette State Park over last couple of years, and that will continue this spring. The group is planning to begin its 7th restoration in a couple of months, and is looking to add to its volunteer base.

The Sierra Club's Virginia Woulfe-Beile tells The Big Z they are wrapping up work on their latest project.

Beilie says the next project will begin with a Restoration Weekend May 13-15, and they have already begun to court volunteers.  If you would like to make a donation or want to learn more about the project, call the Sierra Club office in Alton at 462-6802.
