With plans to restore a number of cabins in the Camp Ouatoga area of Pere Marquette State Park, the Sierra Club and other supporting organizations are hoping to raise more money to keep the plan in motion. To do that, the Sierra Club, Great Rivers Land Trust and The Nature Institute are coming together for the second annual Cabin Fest Fundraiser Saturday at Piasa Harbor.

That's the Sierra Club's Virginia Woulfe-Beile. The event, which runs from noon until 11 pm will feature live music, games, crafts and other activities. The Civilian Conservation Corps cabins are just past the old Nike Military Base. In addition to a number of activities for the kids, there will be live music all day. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults, with kids under 13 getting in for free. You can also make a donation by mailing your contribution to TNI Cabin Restoration Project, 2213 South Levis Lane, Godfrey, IL 62035.
