The Sierra Club, Great Rivers Land Trust and The Nature Institute are teaming up this weekend to raise funds for their cabin restoration project at Pere Marquette Park. Last October the group restored one of the Civilian Conservation Corps cabins in the Camp Ouatoga area of the park and they hope to do at least one more this year. This Saturday, May 11, they are holding the first annual Cabin Fest Fusdraiser at Piasa Harbor Park.  The event runs from 10 am until 10 pm and the Sierra Club's Virginia Woulfe-Beile says the price of admission is a bargain.

Beile Comments

Beile says they are also still looking for volunteers to help with a variety of things including ticket sales, food and beverage sales and stage security.

The event will take place rain or shine and you can also make a donation without attending by mailing your contribution to TNI Cabin Restoration Project, 2213 South Levis Lane, Godfrey, IL 62035.
