A new student organization at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey focused on helping small businesses grow meets for the first time this afternoon.  SCORE is an acronym for the Service Corps of Retired Professionals, and is sponsored by the Small Business Administration.  There is now a newly chartered student chapter of SCORE on campus.

Doug Schneiderheinze, Lewis & Clark Business Coordinator, says the purpose of this effort is to strengthen the free enterprise system by involving volunteer counselors in the process.

Schneiderheinze comments

An informational meeting about the new organization will be held this afternoon at 4pm in Caldwell Hall, room 3319.  All Lewis & Clark students are invited to participate.
