Now you can study counseling at Bradley University whether you are in Peoria, Paris, or Panmunjom.
The private, Peoria-based university is beginning master's programs, online, in clinical mental health counseling and profesisonal school counseling.
“The virtual reality of the classroom is evolving,” says the online counseling program's director, Carlos Del Rio. “We're very pleased to have the knowhow and the technology to everyone who wishes to be educated, regardless of where they are.”

Del Rio says while it sounds ironic that a profession dependent upon the personal touch is being taught online, he's making sure instructors in Peoria and in cyberspace have the correct tools; the practices are in demand, too. “Counseling, as a therapeutic process, is not a Band-Aid, but a tool of developmental value that enhances relationships and brings a sense of wellness,” Del Rio, formerly of Southern Illinois University, adds.
