Congressman Mike Bost has begun his re-election campaign.  The Murphysboro Republican chose the Lincoln - Douglas Square as a backdrop, and then visited the Big Z studios this (Tuesday) morning, talking about what he has accomplished so far, and the work still to be done. 

Bost says job creation and retention is one of his priorities moving forward.  U.S. Steel "temporarily idled" operations in Granite City recently.  He tells The Big Z the steel industry is taking a hit right now, but believes it will turn around

Bost says the cheap foreign steel that has flooded the market is still being used, but as that supply is depleted, American steel will once again be in demand.
