Wood River Police are investigating the death of a man in the city on Tuesday.  Authorities say at this point, all signs point to a heroin overdose with reported drug paraphernalia found inside the car.  The man was found Tuesday morning inside a vehicle that was parked in a car wash at Central and Ferguson Avenue.  Witnesses told police the car had been parked there since the overnight hours.

The identity of the man has not yet been released by police who say the car had Missouri plates and the man had been recently living in the city.  An autopsy has been conducted through the Madison County Corner's Office, but the results are not yet available.
