The benefits and drawbacks to body cameras on cops are being debated.  Law enforcement officials say they have been pushing the use of the cameras because in theory, the cameras promote better behavior on the part of both police and suspects if they know the cameras are rolling.

Studies have showed complaints against police officers go down between 70 and 90-percent when officers are wearing cameras.  One drawback, however, is that it's very expensive to run the camera system, and there are questions about when an officer should and shouldn't record.
