The American Red Cross reminds January is National Blood Donor Month, and is hoping to use that to spur new donors to roll up their sleeves.  The entire process of giving blood takes about an hour, including paperwork, testing, donation time, and that popular post donation hospitality.  Several blood drives are planned for the River Bend heading into the New Year.

American Red Cross Spokesman Dan Fox tells The Big Z they welcome new donors, even if they don’t know their blood type.
