Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich can mark May 23rd, 2024 on his prison calendar. That's the date set by the Federal Bureau of Prisons for his release from a federal prison. The bureau says the release date is in line with federal guidelines requiring he serve at least 85-percent of his 14 year sentence.
Blagojevich reported to the Federal Correctional Institute Englewood in Littleton, Colorado this week. He was convicted on corruption charges last year for trying to sell President Obama's former U.S. Senate seat for cash and political favors.
